STRUCTURE AND CONTENT

• Total length about 2,000–5,000 characters incl. spaces.
• Text elements:
  • Title: Make it appealing, considering the publishing environment. Introduction: 1–3 sentences. Shorter works better. (If unsure about a good intro, ask!)
  • Lead: 1–3 sentences. Shorter works better. (If unsure about a good lead, ask!)
  • Content section: 3–10 subsections with headings or a numbered list.
• Articles are marked as ads at the beginning with a widget and text.
• Content that readers find useful or entertaining works best – ideally both.
• Consider content and style carefully, avoid using “us”. Advertorials shouldn’t be too promotional.
• Ensure the article is written in good Finnish. Texts from translation software won’t inspire trust in readers, and good language expression is important for search engine visibility. Contact us if you need translation services. We won’t publish poorly written texts.
• Clearly mark the links within the text like this: (TEXT LINK: www.example.com) followed by text continuation.

TECHNICAL GUIDELINES

• Submit text, images, and links at least a week before publishing via the form below.
• Any text file format is acceptable: doc, docx, rtf, txt. Do not send PDF files.
• Mark links opened, not embedded. Links should direct to the client’s pages; affiliate links will not be published.
• Clearly mark the places for images.
• No formatting in raw text: no italics, bolding, underlining.

IMAGES

• At least one image is required per article, up to the number of subheadings.
• Image size always 1220 x 800 px, max file size 500 kb.
• No black-and-white or portrait images, the main image should be a travel-themed lifestyle photo fitting with Rantapallo’s visual style.
• Clearly indicate the image source. The client is responsible for the publication rights of images used in commercial articles.
• Include image captions, 1–2 sentences. No caption for the first image.

VIDEOS

• Videos are included in advertorials either via a YouTube/Vimeo link or embed code.
• No need to send the video file to Rantapallo
• For YouTube or Vimeo: send the video URL
• For other videos: send the embed code
