Hello everyone!

I´m Linda, a Finnish traveller and expat living in Malta, a small Mediterranean island, and writing this blog called Expat Journey. I´ve been living abroad for the last 5+ years and also travelled in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

I was born and raised in Finland but after graduating with my Bachelor of Business degree in 2016 I started to get interested in travelling more and even working internationally. I started looking for different options and suddenly decided to move to Malta in September 2017 where I got to work in the iGaming industry.

After a couple of years of enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle, I got my first remote job and decided to go travelling to Asia for a few months. I travelled in India, Thailand and Malaysia and once the covid-19 came with the lockdown, I got stuck in Thailand for 5 months. Not all so bad though, got to see how the summer is in Thailand 🙂 In August 2020 I returned back to Finland for a few months and then went to Spain where I spent winter 2020-2021.

In November 2021 I decided to move back to Malta and even got my old apartment back from Pieta which is a nice and calm area to live in.

Asia is probably my favourite place to travel and I can´t wait to go back there again. I´ve been to India about 7 or 8 times already and a couple of times in Thailand. I would love to see Malaysia a bit more. As a traveller, I love getting to know different cultures and exploring new places, even the ones which are not so familiar to tourists.

In this blog, I will write about living abroad and my travels while trying to give some tips along the way too.
