Breakfast on 10th floor was very nice way to start the day. The plan was to go around the city and see how Hanoi looks like. When leaving the hotel, the staff in lobby asked our plans, and then gave us their recommendations. The first place we planned to go was Hoan Kiem lake, not that far away. When we got there, we saw Sightseeing busses. Without further discussion, we bought 4-hour tickets and hopped immediately on. We managed to use whole time riding around and hopping off and on. It made our city tour much easier.
There are several places to see and visit, but this time we just went around and took the pictures from different buildings and places.
The only place we went in, was the former Hoa Lo prison, which offered quite intensive history lesson.
After prison visit we continued our tour by foot, because it is just nice to walk among the locals and see the life on the streets. And here the life really is on the streets.
In Hanoi, there is a huge amount of scooters and motorcycles, and the drivers don’t pay any attention to anyone or anything, and we were also warned about that. We have some experience from China already, but this is different, and you really need to be aware all the time.
Again one exciting day behind, but more will follow.
