General banner instructions

  • Banner format: GIF, JPEG, Flash or HTML.
  • A destination URL for banner is needed.
  • Banner must open in new browser window.
  • Banner must not make noise automatically without user actions.
  • Maximum size for banner is 55 Kb. Maximum size for Parade banner is 90 Kb.
  • Material is delivered to aineisto@verkossa.fi

Special information regarding Flash banners

  • Banners that change size must be agreed separately. General rule is that the banner must not do anything without user clicking it.
  • If a video banner is used, the video part can be over 30 Kb. But it must not start or load before user clicks the banner.
  • The banner link must have the following clickTAG to enable click tracking:

  • More specific instructions can be found at Adobe's site.
  • It's good to deliver a GIF or JPEG version of the banner to be displayed for users without Flash support.
